The RP Vickerstaff is a forty three foot barge that has been quietly removing drift wood and dead heads from area
waters for nine years now. Known amongst mariners as the Driftbuster, and crewed by Dagfinn Freitag and Norm Maaz,
the boat has been cruising Vancouver Harbour, Point Grey, False Creek, Howe Sound, Indian Arm and Port Moody, keeping
waters safe for boaters. The self propelled barge operates year round, removing more than 270 tons of boat threatening
material annually. Driftbuster is moored at Reed Point Marina.
The vessel is available through Champion Barge for deliveries and private jobs at reasonable rates, either hourly or by contract.
Driftbuster is equipped with a 5000 pound capacity crane and loading ramp that makes it ideal for work on water access
only properties.
